Terms of service.
Photographers Breakthrough Terms and Conditions
Payment Schedule:
Full tuition is due 120 days before the start of the workshop. You will receive an invoice via email when your balance is due. If your tuition balance is not received within five business days of receiving your invoice, your spot will be automatically forfeited and your deposit will not be refunded.
Cancellation Policy:
Due to the up-front costs and logistics required for our workshops, we have strict cancellation and refund policies. We recommend that you are certain you can attend before registering.
Workshop deposits are nonrefundable.
If you cancel more than 120 days prior to the workshop start date, you will receive a refund of your tuition minus your deposit.
If you cancel less than 120 days prior to the workshop start date, you will not receive a refund. However, if we are able to fill your seat with a suitable replacement, you will receive a refund of your tuition minus your deposit. Unused tuition cannot be applied to future workshops.
If you need to calculate 120 days from the workshop start date, use THIS handy calculator.
If Photographer’s Breakthrough must postpone a workshop for any reason, your tuition may be applied to the rescheduled workshop or to a future workshop within one calendar year.
In the unlikely event that Photographer’s Breakthrough must cancel a workshop, participants will be informed as soon as possible and all payments will be refunded.
Your Part (3 Steps):
Our policies are designed to protect our small business while being as fair as possible to you. We strongly encourage you to take steps to protect your investment and reduce potential losses.
1) Although unlikely, unforeseen circumstances do arise. To protect yourself against losses, we require all participants to purchase trip cancellation or travel insurance. This can cover trip cancellation, interruption, property loss, and emergency medical expenses.
These policies are relatively inexpensive and typically cost between 4–10% of the total trip cost.
(Please note: these policies must be purchased within 7–14 days of your deposit payment.)
To research and purchase travel insurance, go HERE, HERE, or HERE.
2) Traditional travel insurance only covers specific cancellation reasons. If you believe you may need flexibility, we recommend purchasing an additional Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) policy.
These policies are added to your standard travel insurance and provide broader coverage regardless of your reason for canceling. They typically cost about 40% of your base policy and can reimburse up to 75% of your total trip expenses.
(Please note: these policies must be purchased within 7–14 days of your deposit payment.)
For additional information on CFAR policies, go HERE.
3) We strongly recommend purchasing refundable airline tickets.
Photographer’s Breakthrough is not responsible for any losses incurred as a result of workshop cancellation.
Workshop Details:
Unless otherwise specified, all meals, lodging, entrance fees, transportation, and airfare are the responsibility of the participant. Photographer’s Breakthrough does not provide transportation during the workshop.
For select workshops, we have secured lodging at centrally located, well-appointed hotels with reasonable rates. When possible, we arrange special rates for our participants.
For both convenience and overall experience, we encourage all participants to stay at these suggested hotels. To ensure availability and access to the Photographer’s Breakthrough rate, we recommend booking as early as possible.
Code of Conduct:
We strive to provide a fun, supportive, and inspiring environment in all of our workshops. Your behavior during the workshop impacts both instructors and fellow participants.
Please review our Code of Conduct HERE to familiarize yourself with our expectations.
Anyone found to be undermining the experience of others through their behavior may be asked to leave the workshop, and their tuition will not be refunded.
Risks:
By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, you acknowledge that there are inherent risks associated with photographing in the locations we may visit during workshops.
You assume full responsibility for any damage to your property and any injury to yourself during the workshop.
By agreeing to these terms, you waive the right to pursue legal action against Photographer’s Breakthrough and its agents for any loss, injury, or damage resulting from participation in the workshop.
