Architecture

& THE ARTS

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA

We’re ready for you.

We want nothing more than for you to show up as yourself in your photography and in your life. We are excited to see what YOU bring to the table, and we’re standing by, ready to help you when you show up for your dreams.

Go Make Art.

A three-day Field Workshop for art, architecture, and endless fun.

Here’s your chance to reunite with the PB Crew—think a long weekend of reconnection, creativity, and shared inspiration under the California sun.

This isn’t your typical sit-and-listen experience. It’s built for movement, curiosity, and momentum. Over three fun-filled days, we’ll keep the camera in hand—photographing with ease, intention, and a spirit of playful exploration.

LA becomes our living sketchbook: facades and frameworks, angles and arches, sunlight slicing through steel. We’ll hit up world-class art museums and iconic architectural landmarks, exploring with eyes wide open—turning structure into story and line into language.

This workshop is for those who crave motion and design, who want to trust their eye and follow what excites them.

You’ll receive one-on-one feedback in the field with Tony—refining your frame in real time and deepening your visual instincts with each step.

It’s vibrant. It’s kinetic. It’s filled with bold color, expressive contrast, and the joy of making work that feels as alive as the city itself.

Come ready to move, to create, and to see LA through the lens of design and play.

Sheila Potter

“For most of my life, I was certain that I might be many things, but an artist was absolutely NOT one of those things. Tony helped me find my way to creating art, and in the process, he has helped me see beauty in the world that I never saw before, and would never have seen without his guidance and support. My life is indescribably better and happier for it.”

“A search for a personal art, one that belongs to you and to no one else, is one of the most overwhelming and intricate challenges of life. To be creative. Seems simple. Tony will be your guide, coach, provocateur, and teacher. He will scatter the breadcrumbs you’ve been seeking and then inspire and teach you how to follow them. To your art. And no one else’s.”

The A’s to your Q’s

  • Tuition covers three full days of amazing hand-selected locations, and guidance one-on-one with Tony while photographing. This workshop is a field workshop- it’s meant for you to get out a photograph as much as you possibly can!

  • Our daily schedule is designed to maximize great light and photographic opportunities. We usually begin with a morning photo session on location, followed by a break for you to have a meal or work on your images. After that, we'll have a critique session, followed by an evening shoot. You'll have time to enjoy a leisurely dinner before getting some rest for the day ahead. Our schedule strikes a balance between keeping you busy and allowing enough downtime to rest your creative muscles.

  • We want you to be able to choose the experience that resonates with you based on your preferences and budget, We will let you know where we will be staying and critiquing so you can select the same hotel or one nearby.

  • During our workshop, most of your time will be dedicated to on-location photography, critiques, and editing. There won't be much downtime for leisurely activities or relaxation with your partner as you would on a typical vacation.

If your partner is the independent and easygoing type who can entertain themselves throughout the day, purchasing an extra plane ticket for them might be a good idea. They can explore the local area or engage in their own activities while you focus on the workshop.

  • So we strongly recommend getting travel insurance; it's always better to be safe than sorry. Check out our Terms of Service link below for details and recommendations.

  • PB is for photographers who want to take amazing photographs, and we take this very seriously. Time spent on students' computer issues undermines the workshop experience for other participants, and we're just not cool with that. Please ensure all of your technology is up to date and in excellent working order before attending.

  • A working laptop (with plenty of storage and a long-lasting battery and charger cable) with the LATEST version of Lightroom, your camera (in tip-top shape), and any lenses you love and that bring you joy, and some extra cards and batteries, and maybe some sunscreen (reef-safe of course!).
