CHARLESTON TO SAVANNAH

6 DAY WORKSHOP-2 LOCATIONS-9AM START TIME

March 21st-26th 2027 / $3700

Slow down,

Charleston and Savannah belong to another time. Not in a nostalgic way, but in the sense that while the rest of the world sped up, these two did not. They remain unbothered, unhurried.

Doors left open. Paint worn just enough. Ironwork, shutters, brick, gardens spilling over edges. Light that does not pass through quickly, it lingers.

You feel it in your bones before you can explain it. It’s why these have become two of our most requested places to return to, and we’re more than happy to oblige. This time, we’re bringing them together in a way we’ve never done before. The very best of each, in one workshop.

We begin in Charleston, where everything feels quietly composed.

There is a natural elegance to it. Streets that feel considered without ever feeling staged. Soft coastal light, long lines, restrained color, and a sense that everything is exactly where it belongs. The longer you stay with it, the more it opens to you.

Then Savannah draws you further in.

Less polished, more atmospheric. The city unfolds in layers. Squares tucked into one another, moss shifting in the breeze, shadows moving slowly across the ground. It feels slower, deeper. You wander without a plan. You follow what holds your attention.

This is not about covering ground. It is about staying long enough for something real to emerge.

Days are spent observing closely, letting the environment shape what you notice and how you respond. There is no urgency here. Nothing to chase. And in that space, the work begins to carry weight.

Then we return to the images.

We look carefully. We talk through what is happening in the frame. What holds. Where it falls away. What feels honest. What feels imposed. It is a quieter kind of refinement, but one that stays with you.

Tony is there throughout. Not directing, but guiding. Offering perspective at the right moments, helping you recognize what is already present and how to move closer to it.

This workshop carries a different kind of energy.

Quieter. More grounded.
It asks for your full presence.

If you have been craving a place that draws something deeper out of your work, this is it.

Settle into the South. We’ll meet you there.

We’re ready for you.

We want nothing more than for you to show up as yourself in your photography and in your life. We are excited to see what YOU bring to the table, and we’re standing by, ready to help you when you show up for your dreams.

“In classic Tony fashion, gathering cool people in a cool place doing cool things is just magical!”

“With Tony’s guidance, I began seeing differently and capturing images I never would have before. His thoughtfully chosen locations set us up for success. The critique sessions were a highlight—offering both Tony’s expert feedback and insight into how others saw each scene. This was more than a trip; I’m leaving with skills that will shape my photography moving forward.”

The A’s to your Q’s

  • This workshop is designed for photographers who already understand their camera and are ready to go deeper.

If you’re looking to refine your eye, develop your voice, and create work that feels more like you—this is for you.

This is not intended for complete beginners.

  • You’ll leave with a body of work that feels unmistakably yours—and a clear understanding of how to create it again.

More clarity. More intention. A stronger point of view you can return to.

  • We keep groups intentionally small to allow for meaningful feedback, real conversation, and one-on-one guidance throughout the experience.

  • Our days are designed around great light, strong locations, and steady forward movement in your work.

We begin with a morning shoot, followed by time to reset, eat, or review your images.

Each day typically includes dedicated critiques—a central part of the experience—where we refine your work, sharpen your decisions, and deepen your point of view.

We head back out for an evening session, applying what you’ve just learned while it’s still fresh.

The rhythm is simple: shoot, review, refine, repeat.

  • Tuition covers six days of thoughtfully selected locations—each chosen for its beauty and photographic potential—along with daily critiques and focused instruction.

It includes one-on-one guidance from Tony while you’re in the field, along with a group experience that is both supportive and creatively energizing.

And, in Italy, one round of gelato.

  • This is an immersive, work-focused experience.

Your time is intentionally spent shooting, editing, and participating in critiques. The days are full, with limited downtime for leisurely activities or extended time away from the group.

  • Any digital camera is welcome.

A working knowledge of Lightroom is recommended, as we’ll be reviewing and refining your images throughout the workshop.

  • A reliable laptop (with plenty of storage, a strong battery, and your charger) running the latest version of Lightroom.

Your camera in excellent working condition, along with any lenses you love to shoot with.

Extra memory cards and batteries are essential. Comfortable shoes are a must.

    A good attitude.

  • Expect a fair amount of walking and time on your feet while shooting on location.

You don’t need to be an athlete, but you should be comfortable moving throughout the day.

  • You’re free to choose accommodations that fit your preferences and budget.

We’ll share where we’ll be staying and holding critiques so you can book the same hotel or stay nearby—whatever feels right for you.

  • Travel, accommodations, meals and entrance fees.

  • We shoot in all conditions.

Some of the most compelling work happens when things aren’t perfect.

  • PB is designed for photographers who are serious about making exceptional work—and we protect that experience for everyone involved.

All equipment should be fully updated and in excellent working order before arrival. Time spent troubleshooting takes away from the group, and we keep the focus where it belongs: on the work.

  • Due to the limited size of each workshop, all payments are non-refundable.

We strongly recommend securing travel insurance to protect your investment. Please review our Terms of Service below for full details.

  • These are intentionally limited. They tend to fill quickly and are often secured early by those who have been waiting for them. Arrive on time to secure your spot.

You can too.

In the realm of photography, there are photographers, there are teachers, and then there is Tony—a remarkable blend of both.
