We’re ready for you.
We want nothing more than for you to show up as yourself in your photography and in your life. We are excited to see what YOU bring to the table, and we’re standing by, ready to help you when you show up for your dreams.
Play Harder
Our first Los Angeles workshop left a mark.
There was a shift we could all feel. The work opened up. It became more personal, more alive, more certain. You could see people settling in and trusting their eye. It was the kind of momentum that you want to stay close to.
So we are going back, baby, and it’s going to be better than ever.
This time, we are expanding it into a full-length experience. More time together, more space to slow down when needed, and a pace that allows the work to arrive at a level that feels undeniable.
For the first time, we will be splitting our time between Downtown LA and Venice Beach, moving between two completely different energies will shape the way you see.
In Los Angeles, everything sharpens. Architecture, line, and light come forward in a way that feels almost architectural in itself. Glass, steel, shadow, negative space. It is precise and layered, the kind of environment that quickly trains your eye and rewards your attention.
Then Venice shifts you into something else entirely. Salt air, movement, texture, people, color. It is fluid, unpredictable, and alive. You stop trying to control the frame and start responding to what is happening in front of you.
Together, they give you range. A balance of control and release, intention and instinct.
Los Angeles is one of the most visually impressive cities you can photograph. The architecture alone makes it essential. Light reflects, cuts, and wraps in ways that constantly change what you see, asking you to stay present and engaged.
And that is what this workshop is about. Trusting what you see and moving forward with more confidence and clarity than you arrived with.
Tony is with you throughout, in the field and in critique, offering direct and thoughtful feedback at every step.
If you are serious about your work, this is where you come to play. LA.

The A’s to your Q’s
-
This workshop is designed for photographers who already understand their camera and are ready to go deeper.
If you’re looking to refine your eye, develop your voice, and create work that feels more like you—this is for you.
This is not intended for complete beginners.
-
You’ll leave with a body of work that feels unmistakably yours—and a clear understanding of how to create it again.
More clarity. More intention. A stronger point of view you can return to.
-
We keep groups intentionally small to allow for meaningful feedback, real conversation, and one-on-one guidance throughout the experience.
-
Our days are designed around great light, strong locations, and steady forward movement in your work.
We begin with a morning shoot, followed by time to reset, eat, or review your images.
Each day typically includes dedicated critiques—a central part of the experience—where we refine your work, sharpen your decisions, and deepen your point of view.
We head back out for an evening session, applying what you’ve just learned while it’s still fresh.
The rhythm is simple: shoot, review, refine, repeat.
-
Tuition covers six days of thoughtfully selected locations—each chosen for its beauty and photographic potential—along with daily critiques and focused instruction.
It includes one-on-one guidance from Tony while you’re in the field, along with a group experience that is both supportive and creatively energizing.
And, in Italy, one round of gelato.
-
This is an immersive, work-focused experience.
Your time is intentionally spent shooting, editing, and participating in critiques. The days are full, with limited downtime for leisurely activities or extended time away from the group.
-
Any digital camera is welcome.
A working knowledge of Lightroom is recommended, as we’ll be reviewing and refining your images throughout the workshop.
-
A reliable laptop (with plenty of storage, a strong battery, and your charger) running the latest version of Lightroom.
Your camera in excellent working condition, along with any lenses you love to shoot with.
Extra memory cards and batteries are essential. Comfortable shoes are a must.
A good attitude.
-
Expect a fair amount of walking and time on your feet while shooting on location.
You don’t need to be an athlete, but you should be comfortable moving throughout the day.
-
You’re free to choose accommodations that fit your preferences and budget.
We’ll share where we’ll be staying and holding critiques so you can book the same hotel or stay nearby—whatever feels right for you.
-
Travel, accommodations, meals and entrance fees.
-
We shoot in all conditions.
Some of the most compelling work happens when things aren’t perfect.
-
PB is designed for photographers who are serious about making exceptional work—and we protect that experience for everyone involved.
All equipment should be fully updated and in excellent working order before arrival. Time spent troubleshooting takes away from the group, and we keep the focus where it belongs: on the work.
-
Due to the limited size of each workshop, all payments are non-refundable.
We strongly recommend securing travel insurance to protect your investment. Please review our Terms of Service below for full details.
-
These are intentionally limited. They tend to fill quickly and are often secured early by those who have been waiting for them. Arrive on time to secure your spot.
You can too.
